Once a year, some friends and I spend time this beautiful little hideaway in southern Idaho. There are two protected areas right next to each other, Castle Rock State Park and City of Rocks National Reserve. The rock formations in these areas are so impressive and abundant and really call out to you to climb on, scramble over, or in my case, paint :). It's a playground for young and old. This painting is from a series of 3 I created following this year's trip. (There may be one or two more to come). It comes unframed but is painted on a wood panel frame that has a finished look.
